FREEDOM - Healing

Ps Taiyo Konda - Sunday - 27th June 2021

Did you know that the Bible identifies God as our healer 2,196 times through the title Jehovah Rapha (God is your healer)? That in both the Old and the New Testament, we see the healing power of God on behalf of those who have faith to believe?

Mark 3:1-6
Another time Jesus went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath. Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.”  Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent. He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.

Some of the key take home points included:

1. The miracle is in the stretch
2. Healing is both ancient and relevant
3. Healing is for everyone
4. Healing requires faith
5. Timing is God's responsibility - obedience is ours
6. Faith and expectation unlocks the miraculous
7. Faith gets God's attention

We believe that God has spoken over this church that we will be a healing spring. A place where God's power and presence flows. A place of faith where we see the miraculous take place because we take God at His Word. If you need healing this week, stretch out towards Jesus and believe that His love and healing power is available to ALL who come to Him. And let us continue to praise Him with every testimony of His grace, power and goodness towards us!
